What's the wireless chipset? Post here the results of running "lspci -v" on a console.

The general way to find information is to search with Google with keywords "BCM4318 Ubuntu" for other people that have the same hardware.

Broadcom chipsets are notorious for giving headaches to Linux users. There is a project working on giving native Linux support for the BCM43xx family, but the results so far are mixed:
