220GB is 220000MB.

One GB equals to a thousand MB.

I do not know if you have already installed OS/X on the hard disk.
You would need to partition the hard disk according to the requirements you describe above. You do not need to specify the filesystem for the other operating system as it will be formatted again when you install the other OS.

For Ubuntu Linux, you typically need
a. The Linux partition, 100GB ("/")
b. The Linux Swap partition, typically twice your RAM (if you have 1GB RAM, put 2GB for the swap partition). The swap partition also serves when you do hibernation.

It is suggested (I suggest) to create a separate partition (part of the 100MB) that you will use for the /home folder. That is, you put there your user files. When you install Ubuntu, full installation, it would take up about 4GB. Thus, give about 20GB for the Ubuntu system partition ("/"), 2GB for Linux swap, and the rest for the "/home" partition. Having separate "/home" partition helps a lot when you reinstall, as you keep all your data.

In any case, see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation

I do not know what filesystem OS/X uses. You may want to ask in an OS/X forum.
