A principio estou seguindo o guia https:/
para tentar sozinho.
Até o momento estou no passo 8. A saída de som através daquelas duas caixinhas de som comuns em todo desktop é normal. Ligando um microfone de pedestal (plug rosa) na entrada rosa (observando a traseira do gabinete a entrada rosa é a primeira da esquerda para a direita) não há saída nenhuma.
Passo 9: Não estou usando dual boot com Windows (apesar de eu haver desinstalado o Windows, esta opção ainda aparece na inicialização do Ubuntu, mas não vem ao caso agora esta dúvida).
Passo 10: Lendo o guia fiquei na dúvida com o seguinte termo: "...make sure that your normal user and the root user...". Ou seja, traduzindo: "...tenha certeza de que o seu usuário normal e o root user...". No meu Aplicativo Usuários e Grupos só existe o usuário com o meu nome e um outro que criei chamado convidado. Qual seria o usuário root? Mas incluí a mim e o convidado aos grupos pedidos no Passo 10.
