Installing UBUNTU to a CD-RW

Is it possible to install UBUNTU to a CD-RW disk.

If so, please give details.

I have one CD drive.

You can burn the Live CD ISO to a CDRW. You can then boot to the CD and use the desktop.

But would this be installed on the CD-RW. Or is it just the LiveCD running from the CD.

I would like to create a situation where UBUNTU is installed on a CD-RW in the same way that it can be installed on the hard-drive. Hence, files could be stored, the OS and browser could be updated, etc.

That's impossible. Most CDs aren't rewritable after the first burn. You should see about getting a pen driver or something and using that.

Not possible dude, you can use a USB stick for that. If your system cannot boot USB then there are floppy / CD images you can use to make any system boot USB. Writing to a CD on the fly like a HDD isn't currently possible
