Regaining free space after removing Ubuntu

Asked by Michael Anthony Flores

After removing Ubuntu, the space I previously allocated for the system is left as "free." It's about 100GB so I was wanting to extend the C partition which houses Windows 7 into the free space. Unfortunately, the "extend volume" option is grayed out when I attempt this. It is also grayed out on a partition I keep my documents on. I clicked shrink volume for no particular reason, and it said the C drive had a problem. So I used chkdsk in Command Prompt and it said there were no problems. How do I extend the Win 7 partition back into that space?

You can use disk manager to delete the partition Ubuntu used to occupy, You can then expand the current partition is Win7 supports that, or you can simply make a new partition in the space and have what windows would name a "D drive" (even though its a partition, not a drive (stupid windows)). And use it as data storage.
