Copying game CD to desktop

Asked by Charles Maternus

I have tried to copy a removable game CD to an image fiie with Brasero, and the error pop up is:

"All required applications and libraries are not installed."
"Please install the following manually and try again:
cdrdao (application). "

I have checked the Ubuntu software Center, and it says that I have already installed it.

Any ideas?

Well, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS hide your password in the terminal. So type it correctly and hit ENTER.

When I entered the correct commands, the response given was that the cdrdao was already installed with the new Ubuntu version. I tried to copy the CD again and I received the same response:

"All required applications and libraries are not installed."
"Please install the following manually and try again:
cdrdao (application). "

None of these links have been successful I looked at the bug report section, and I ran the command, and there was no response?

The CD Gnome master download was successful, but it did not work for me.

Any ideas on how I can copy an image of the CD on my desktop so I can return this disc?

Well, if you are runing the Live CD you should install the system on your HD (It doesn't allow you to make the image file while runing the Live CD version), or if you are using Windows use a program that make an ISO image fron the CD, so that later you can burn a CD to install Ubuntu.

Sorry for my english...Im learnig... ^_^
