My portable usb modem is not recognized in ubuntu

Asked by adarsha joisa

I have a usb modem - ZTE-AC2736. It is not being recognized in ubuntu. I have installed the modem software for ubuntu provided in the disk that came with it. The software tries to connect with the modem and stops with the error-"No modem found". For the first 3-4 times, ubuntu recognized the modem as a usb device, but now it completely ignores it.

Add the bits in GREEN as boot options in /etc/default/grub

and it should work ok.
