white line display during startup and shutdown

hi i have got a big problem in my ubuntu 10.04,actually i installed the ubuntu in my laptop perfectlly,but as i start my laptop,during every startup the white lines are rolling from my lcd laptop display for a second,then my laptop starts and it works usually, but at again during shutdown the same problem happens but here in the place of lines the numbers are continuously flowing through the lcd laptop display,please solve the problem...

You can use these commands (until you reach the embedded video):

This will make the boot use the framebuffer driver and will be much more stable. When the desktop loads, the normal video driver will kick in.
