From time to time, ubuntu does not boot correctly.

Asked by olimag

Hi,

Thank's for translation from Marcus

From time to time, ubuntu does not boot correctly.

Firstly, it does not detect the sound card.

Secondly, the filesystem does not mount without going through sudo. e.g. It wouldn't mount the CD-rom

Lastly, have to go invoke sudo to stop the system

After rebooting once or twice, the machine works correctly.

I have do two installation of ubuntu 10.04, the last from scratch and I hase the same problem.

Before to go into the deep (guessing you have downloaded the iso image)

do you have verified the md5sum of the iso image file you have used to burn and to install Ubuntu...?

Please be sure BEFORE to burn an install cd from an downloaded iso image
to check the md5sum

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM

of the iso and compare it with the master Ubuntu site.

http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.04/
