Good info on Ext4

Asked by Evan Greenacre

Can anyone point me in the right direction to do some Research on EXT4? specifically details on how the journalling works. I read a great article on SQLITE 4.0x on how they do thier transaction lockings etc. which was amazing btw, but they disavow all problems that can be blamed on the OS, the File System or the hard drive.. i.e. if sqlite wrote something, and something got corrupted on disk, they can't/don't detect that. But since I know I'm on Ubuntu 10.04, using EXT4, I know generally that it's journaled, and should prevent that sort of stuff. but need to see some details. And I'm sure there's some settings I can do to make very sure it's right.
