Installation Dilemma

Asked by pankaj

I have a 250 GB hard drive, which i have patitioned into 30 GB-ntfs(Which has windows 7), 20 GB-ntfs(empty) and the Rest(ntfs).

How can i install ubuntu separately(without using wubi) on the 20 GB partition, without touching the rest two?

When i booted from live desktop cd, i was given 3 well known options, 'use entire disc' option says it will use the entire drive.
Does it mean it will delete windows 7 and all my data on my whole drive?

Please help me find some solution

Regards
Pankaj

Yes. It will delete Windows 7. But, in the partitioning window is supposed to had an slide bar which you move to select the size of the Ubuntu Installation.

Delete the empty partition to leave unpartitioned space. You will then be able to install Ubuntu to the free space

Can you help with this problem?
