Screen goes black after install of Ubuntu Studio 10.04

I can go through the entire installation but when the computer reboots the entire screen goes black and I can not see the login screen. I can hear sound but thats it. I am new at this Linux stuff so your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

HP Pavilion Slimline s7612n
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor 3800
1.0 GB Ram Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE

Hi there, there must be problem with your Xorg server. When your screen is black try to switch the console with key combination "ctrl alt F1", then login to the console. In the console please write "cat /var/log/messages/Xorg.0.log | grep EE" and post the output here.
