what hardware are you running on?

try to start the cd without the quiet option. this should be possible when the cd gets started and the menu comes up where you can choose to start or install the cd. don't exactly recall but i think it is something like pressing F6...

it actually is F6. just remove the "quiet" and "splash" and see what happens/how far you get.

maybe do first a "check cd for errors"

Ive tryed it and the menu loaded but when i selected start or intsall, no luck so i remove the quiet splash bit and it did not work the cd just made noises from the drive sounded like it was trying to load but couldn't.

Ive put a video on my website for you to see it should have sound and ive tried to get the sound of the drive.

i would guess your cd is somewhat broken. check the md5sum of the iso and maybe try to burn with some other program. the "check cd for errors" should run.
