Cannot install OKI B4200 printer

I am trying to install my printer in Ubuntu 6.0.06

It is not recognised by the System>Adminisration>Printing tool.

The printer is the OKI B4200 led printer.

I have carried out a fairly extensive web search for a driver but have so far failed to locate one.

Does anyone know of the existence of a driver for this model, or of an equivalent?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Don't know if that's you or not, but check out #2 on the 4th post; try installing drivers similar to your OKI B4200 printer.

Thanks for the suggestion. However none of the listed printers are similar to the B series, which are all LED printers. I have tried contacting the manufacturer, but so far without any response.

Hi, just use the HP Laserjet drivers, (I have tried Series II and Series 6 from CUPS), they work fine for my OKI B4200.

I have tried to install the drivers for my Samsung CLP-550N color laser printer but, when I download and unpack it and click on auto run nothing happens. I even tried to install them via the terminal to no avail. I have contacted Samsung but still no responce.

Can anyone help me correct this problem? I hate using Windose for all my printing.
