Does the Ubuntu CD come with wireless internet drivers?

Does the free Ubuntu OS CD come with wireless internet drivers for my PC so I can get online to find all my other drivers?

That all depends on the exact hardware in your PC. The Ubuntu CD does contain some wireless drivers, but without knowing which chipset your wireless device uses, it's impossible to say if any is the appropriate one for your PC.

It comes with some. You'll probably find you are using one of those cheap broadcom wirelesses that manufacturers use. These are very catered for and can be installed with a webb connection or using the install CD itself. If you want to test you can even boot the liveCD to test the OS.

If you don't get wireless straight away, run:

sudo lshw -C network

and websearch for the product line of the wireless for guides.
