Is it just Amarok that won't recognize your ipod, or the computer? And what Ipod version is it? Check out the FAQ to get your ipod hooked up if it's not just Amarok.
FAQ #979: “Using Ubuntu With an Ipod”.

The computer recognizes my ipod and will play music that's on the ipod. It's a second generation nano. But I can't create a library to move music from the ipod to the computer.
I have never used linux before and need a better resource. All the answers in these forums are too technical for me to understand. Can you suggest a good reference?
