download/install

I tried downloading Ubuntu Netbook edition and it saved as an ISO file. where do i save it? on the USB or on the hard drive? I am using windows 7. After I save it how do I install it and boot off of the USB drive???

Please save on the hard disk then BE SURE to chck the md5sum of downloaded iso.

You will have to burn ISO file on a CD-R, as a ISO image (and not a normal file). After you boot on CD, and choose option "Install".
If you want to be sure your hardware is well managed by Ubuntu, instead of install it directly, choose option "Try without install" and check your graphic card is well managed (it's the most usual issue) and also your WIFI (second most usual issue).
