scanner problem

i have a scanner
it's model is Benq SCANNER 5000
it is installed correctly and the drive was installed correctly
but it didnt work
and it works fine on windows
plz any body answer me why or what can i make to make it work

Please check your user permissions (sometimes helps) from menu System→Administration→Users and groups
[ Advanced Settings ] → [User privileges ] check/give to your user all permissions
