How do I uninstall 10.04 from Win XP?

Asked by Hank Acker

I installed 10.04 in a separate partition on my HP Windows XP. My Windows is now too slow to even get on the network in one try. I need to get another HD and install U-10.04 on it, apparently Windows needs more space than I have free. Any advice or help is welcome. I went to "Applications" to remove software but that appears to be only for the apps and not the system itself. Thanks

I presume you don't use Wubi, but a dual boot.
If you install Ubuntu on a 2nd internal hard drive (and not an external one!), the simplest is:
1) install 2nd hard drive
2) install Ubuntu on this 2nd hard drive with Grub boot loader on this 2nd one (this should be default option)
3) copy from 1st disk Linux partition what you need on Linux partition of 2nd disk
4) with gparted, remove swap and ext# partition on 1st hard disk
5) else with gparted or with XP tools, extend NTFS partition to end of 1st disk
6) in Grub menu, remove eventually boot from Ubuntu on 1st disk
If you need information, ask me before doing anything!

Can you help with this problem?
