Create a keyboard distribution

Asked by Sgarbo

Hello

I want to create a new keyboard distribution.

Right now i'm using "Latino américa" distribution, and it works fine, but i want to add some Esperanto characters to it.

I know that is an Esperanto distribution, but that's not exactly what i want.

In windows i have a similar distribution of what i want, when i press:
' + c = ĉ
' + s = ŝ
' + w = ŭ
etc.....

I want to add this commands to my latin american distribution.

I'm using Ubuntu 9.10

Thanks!

Check out: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=88027

See if that may help. I don't have much experience in this, but that's all a quick google search brought up.

Thank you for your answer.

I check the page and i get this link form it: http://people.uleth.ca/~daniel.odonnell/Blog/custom-keyboard-in-linuxx11
There i get info, that help me to create a new keyboard layout.

I didn't get exactly what i was looking for, but i get in the right direction.

Now i press

[AltGr] + s = ŝ
.....

Thanks
