Why do I get 'disk error 10' when I try to load Ubantu

Asked by d0m

Hi
I've downloaded Ubuntu 7.04, checked it with winMd5sum, & burned it onto a CD with InfraRecorder. I then booted up with it in & got the first screen of choices; "Load, check CD, check memory, (etc.)". I chose load & got the error message, "Disk error 10, AX=4280, drive EF". I tried the disk checker & got the same error message. I burned a second CD & got the same results. I've searched the Ubuntu site & got no-where!
My comp has an Asus M2N8-VMX mother board with an AMD Sempron 3000+ processor, & 384MB RAM.
Can you help?
Thanks
d0m.
