ubi-language returned a 1

When trying to install Ubuntu 10.4 LTS I get a failure that states: "ubi-language failed with exit code 1. Further information may be found in var/log/syslog. Do you want to try running this step again before continuing?". Unfortunately I can't get any useful information from syslog.
