WIFI over pppoe innterfase connection trouble

Asked by treculyus

I have an Acer Aspire 5536 Laptop PC and when I turn off the the machine, I always when restart needs to edit etc/network/interfaces config file to recover wireless web navigation. I have one pppoe interfase giving my ISP.

Here is my file content

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto dsl-provider
iface dsl-provider inet ppp
pre-up /sbin/ifconfig wlan0 up # line maintained by pppoeconf
provider dsl-provider

auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet manual

When I restart, I need to erase this file keeping only

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

And restart network-manager too, then I can surfing through the Web again... annoying don't you think?

Thank you for help

Kind Regards

treculyus

Thanks for your quick reply, I really appreciate your help

It makes a lot of sense your solution but my speakers are internal, no USB.
With my last OS didn't have this problem, by the way, my Laptop is brand
new. Could it be driver problem or something?

thought i would pass this on . for some reason my speakers have started to make noise like you described in your speakers . then i thought it may have some thing to do with the new dish network system we got a few days ago so i shut it down . and they stop making noise .
