Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04

Asked by Faby

Greetings all,

I have Windows 7 on my computer but I want to install Ubuntu 10.04 alongside it. So I partitioned my hard disk to allow 50GB for Ubuntu. Do I really have to format this unallocated hard disk space in order to install Ubuntu there. Also, can I just download Ubuntu straight from a website and install it in the disk space or I've got to use a live cd. Finally, how do I have to install Ubuntu so that it works perfectly well.

Thanks in advance.

Use any method that's most comfortable with you. I'd suggest you using LiveCD.
