Problem while trying to make a Ubuntu bootable USB

I am unable to create to put the .iso image of ubuntu-10.04-netbook-i386.iso on a usb, to make it boot and install ubuntu-10.04-netbook on my MSI Wind with Universal-USB-Installer-v1.6.6.exe

i get a message that "cannot open file Adress\Desktop\ubuntu-10.04-netbook-i386.ISO as archive

can anyone tell me why and how to fix it?

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
How did you put the iSO on the USB device?

i checked it and it is not the same. i will try downloading some other versions
but if that fails???
i used Universal-USB-Installer-v1.6.6.exe so i did not put it on the usb, i use the iso file from desktop

If the MD5 sum of the ISO you download does not match it needs redownloading. I suggest you use torrents as the torrent protocol adds extra verifications.

For 64bit CPU:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/lucid/ubuntu-10.04-desktop-amd64.iso.torrent

For 32bit CPU:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/lucid/ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso.torrent

You will need a torrent client installed on your system (like bitlord for windows etc) to use these links.
