Asked by Aztec13

the thing is i put in some media package codecs and libraries that arent working. I want to just start off from scratch i dont have any real files to lose yet so that should be easy right ? im a total newbie and if i will just make it worse if i mess with it anymore. there are all kinds of things i want gone so that i have a basic xfce lightwieght set up with a simple xubuntu package focusing more on xfce then flashy stuff. and i want only rythmbox and a nice decked out xmms but no encoding is needed since my cd cant even write.
but the main thing is i want to play the internet radio like in amarok. i think there is a seperate player called streamripper that works alright. could i just put a command in my terminal to pretty much clean up any of the useless stuff i will never need and my disc only has 10gb of space i need to keep it light. even if someone wont help me can it be possible ? to put in a command to rip me down to the bare xubuntu take off the media and other junk that isnt even working right for me and get a list full of programs i just described and have it run ? can someone put it on here so i can copy it.

It's probably quicker to install again than rip out everything you don't want. You could download a xubuntu install cd and install it directly rather than use a kubuntu cd.
