using music on another partition

Asked by dd

Dear Ubuntu,

  I am having an issue playing music from my Windows XP Partition. I have two main partitions: Windows and Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
  Anyway, I use rhythmbox to play music. I'm confused on how to import music from another partition but not copy it over. Is it possible to just play music from another partition and have the library there, but no real media files on the current partition?

Thanks.

Sure, just mount the NTFS partition and you can read the data.

Should be fine.
