I am USER by default , what is my password!!!???? trying to install a adobe flashplayer i need to authenticate and CANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a default password? If not how do I override the existing and make new? I have dloaded 5 adobe flash players and everytime I try to install it will not allow it because I DONT KNOW THE DAMN PASSWORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP. Never worked with this software so tell me the easiest way PLEASE

when you installed you had to set a user name and password . that is your password .

Your password you use to login is your password for admin tasks. You are a member of a group named admin and will allow you to use sudo and gksudo to get admin priveledges.

Don't bother with capitals, it's harder to read and achieves nothing.

Can you Click Applications -> Accessories -> terminal

and paste this text and press enter, copy the output and paste it here as an update:

dpkg -l | grep flash; dpkg -l | grep gnash; dpkg -l | grep swf
