Current daily-live updates not updated

Asked by vmc

Why are the current daily-live ISO's NOT up to date?

Every time I install a current ISO I have huge amounts of updates when I issue the command:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Example. I installed today's June21st ISO and it reported "154 upgraded, 11 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
Need to get 138MB of archives."

What's the point of current ISO if in fact there NOT updated?!

Because it's still under developement and updated minutely_hourly_daily, means you're using kind of rolling release ;-)

In your question i think you referring to Ubuntu 10.04 iso images...
The Ubuntu 10.04 iso images are freezed.
The daily images are linked and in sync with Ubuntu 10.10 maverick meerkat now in alpha1 stage

If you have to install a lot of Ubuntu 10.04 and then obvioulsly to upgrade them, i suggest you to set up a apt-cacher-ng deb proxy on a pc to have all the update chached on a pc and to have the update ready to install.

Or create a custom Ubuntu (with latest upgrade) installation and then install it...
