how to install gyachi 1.2.7.taz.gz

Hi I'm newish to Ubuntu and wish to find a yahoo messanger but that don't seam to be "That is OK:
I have found gyachi-1.2.7 looks like might be the answer but how do I install a taz.gz file

If you using Ubuntu 10.04 you can find and use Yahoo in Empathy, there's a shortcut on top right panel Chat > Edit > Accounts > Add...

The same goes to Karmic >Applications > Internet > Empathy IM Client. I'm not sure about Voice and Video Chat because I do not use Yahoo, so you have to try. The other messenger is called Pidgin, you can install through Ubuntu Software Center. Good luck!
