Kodak camera C180 driver for Ubuntu 9.10

Asked by Pepe

I have a Kodak camera C330 and it has the driver on my Ubuntu 9.10. Works just fine.
However, I bought a new Kodak camera C180 and I have no driver for it. Where can I get it?

I don't have a memory card. Does this mean I have to buy one?

If you connect it via USB and run:

dmesg | tail -n 20; sudo fdisk -l

Can you give the output please

Thanks

You lost me. I do not know what you are talking about. I connect what via USB? And what is output? Thanks
I have been looking into memory cards and memory card readers. Looks like more is involved.

Applications -> accessories -> terminal

Copy the command and paste to terminal, press enter, copy the output and paste here as an update

Yes you need to type your password in to get the fdisk output, you will get no feedback onscreen (this is a security feature) but type it in and hit enter.
What is output?

I tried to type the password but nothing moved, so I just sent what I had.

sudo fdisk -l

the 2 characters on the right of the command are a minus sign, then the letter L (spoken would be 'ell') to (L)ist the partitions

I am very sorry, but you have lost me a while back and I simply do not know any of this. Thanks for your efforts but I have to try something else. I looked at my computer any it has a memory card reader. I will buy a memory card and take the photo into the memory card. Then according to other instructions I have received. I will insert the memory card into the slot in the computer and that should install the photos into the computer. That is all I need. Thanks again.
