My password doesn't work after "Suspend" is used.

Asked by graydonbaker

Instead of shutting down I clicked "Suspend." When I opened the laptop and pressed the Power button it requests my password. Nothing registers as I type it in. Finally it tells me that time has expired and the password window disappears.

There are a lot of open bugs similar to your problem. You may search for it in Ubuntu Bugs and provide additional information for the problem to be resolved. One example is: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/99755

This report also suggests using a shortkey combination to suspend your laptop again, as a possible temporary workaround. After resuming, sometimes the keyboard works again.

Can you help with this problem?
