Installtion problems

Hi
I'm comletely new to the Ubuntu/linux -world. I've tried to install Ubuntu (both 6.06 and 7.04) on my computer. But the installation fails evey time. I've checked the md5sums (on the downloaded iso-files and its ok). Yhe computer boots on the cd, but stops during the initial installation ( after I've marked for the language = norwegian)

I've downloaded an installed other versions of linux on the computer, an it workes ok ( Fox and Kubbix)

My computer is an old Dell dimention with intell 2,8 G, 120 G Hd and 256 RAM

Can anyone help?

Hello,

just boot the LiveCD with the default (english) language. If you are on the Gnome Desktop you could change to the norwegian language and start playing with feisty in your native language.
