Is it possible to get Linux support for cd/dvd rom computer games on Ubuntu in an update?

You may want to use:

cedega: http://www.transgaming.com/
(or wineX: http://sourceforge.net/projects/winex sort of a cheap cedega)
wine: http://www.winehq.org/

try also wine-tools after installing wine/buying cedega. I would recommend
trying wine first.

sorry I meant wine doors, not wine tools. Wine tools is deprecated.
