Vmware and other application problems

Hello i use ubuntu 10.04.
i downloaded VMWARE workstation 7 from owners website.
It is in .bundle format and i m unable to install it.
Can u people help e in this regard.
Also i hav empathy as chat cliet but it cannot connect to internet so i m unable to use chat and all of my college friends.
We use proxy to connect to internet.
plz help in this regard

Hello,

I know it's not exactly related to your question but I'd like to suggest you good alternative to VMWare : VirtualBox.

It's a free virtualization software that can uses virtual machines created by VMWare. You can download it here : http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads
