how to install on desktop

Just got the new Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop Edition and when I try to install it, it just stalls at the Ubuntu and 5 Dots for hours how do I install it please?

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
Did you check the CD for defects?

Got the cd in the mail the disc is fine, could it be that it won't install because of my 8400 GS?

Still test the CD for defects.

Then use:
