Offline upgrade error

I tried to upgrade Ubuntu 9.10 via alternate cd/dvd iso.Everthing went fine until this happened while getting new packages:

Failed to fetch cdrom:[Ubuntu 10.04 LTS _Lucid Lynx_ - Release i386 (20100427.1)]/pool/main/g/gcc-4.4/gcc-4.4_4.4.3-4ubuntu5_i386.deb Hash Sum mismatch

i have screenshots but can't get a way to post it here...plzzz help

Did you MD5 test the ISO you used to burn the CD?
If you boot to the CD, Does the CD pass the "Check CD for defects" test?

i actually mounted the iso and followed the instruction given in this page : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LucidUpgrades.
and the iso is the alternate iso from here...
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily/current/

Ok thats fine, did you MD5 test the ISO?

finally i upgraded online.Really took a long time though
