Does the Ubuntu system have a "restore" like in Windows

Ubuntu is new for me. I'm afraid I may have messed up some of the original stuff. The more I try to fix it, the more ground I lose. Is there a "restore" feature, like in Windows, that I can use?

not exactly the same but there is recovery mode....you can choose the option # 3 for fixing broken packages which will restore system's broken packages.
