My graphic card is not supported from linux

Asked by Fatos M

I have my Video Graphic Card that doesn't support the Linux Community. I mean I have already searched for some devices that may fit my PC but there weren't any.. My type of Video Graphic Card is:
VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 65x/M650/740 PCI/AGP VGA

So I am wondering how can I fix my problem so I could use something else instead of the right devices that are compatible with my Ubuntu.
Even with a large mount of RAM I am having problems with performance. I have 1GB RAM but my Ubuntu is really slow. But still works. I just don't have my exact performance that my system really supports.

Hi,

Not the easiest hardware to deal with. Have you tried to install the package xserver-xorg-video-sis ? (I'm not sure this could fix your problem, I don't know this card).

Hope this might help.
