vpn

Asked by Mark

I am trying to connect to a Cisco IPsec VPN. I am running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx). I have network-manager installed and also vpnc. When I go to the network settings, vpn tab. I do see Cisco IPsec vpn available. I give it all the correct information for the group, vpn server IP etc. I know this is correct because I configured it on my companies Cisco ASA's. I also have it working natively in OS X. Anyway, I keep getting a connection error. The error comes back immediately after trying to connect and it is "no valid vpn secrets" Any help is greatly appreciated.

I linked Bug #300628. Probably this is the cause of your problem. Have a look at the ppa of sroecker at

https://launchpad.net/~sroecker/+archive/ppa

It helped me for a similar problem.

This is great, I read both the bug tracker and the launch pad link. I will try it this weekend!
