The tools themselves can be installed on Ubuntu, they're all compatible. You might have to set things up yourself for mintUpload to work but all other tools should work out of the box. Basically add the Linux Mint repositories to your /etc/apt/sources.list, perform an APT update and install the packages for the mint tools you're interested in.

By the way, for the mint tools you only need the "main" section of the repositories.
