Windows Wireless Drivers quitting instantly!

Asked by george_rutkay

Why is this happening? I completely removed and then reinstalled (via Ethernet cable) this application, thinking that something is corrupted. I rebooted and rebooted. I tried this as Root user.

This didn't help restore functionality, I'm going nuts trying to figure out why this control panel launches and then immediately shuts itself down and the window disappears!

Has anybody had this happen? Please help!

The name of the actual program that is quitting is ndisgtk.

It is apparently the name of the graphical interface to ndiswrapper.

Please advise, what on earth would cause this program to launch and then abruptly quit?

After some searching on Google I found more detailed instructions on how to completely remove ndiswrapper and ndisgtk, more than what Synaptic provides. I completely removed them and all references to it, rebooted then reinstalled it. Now it's behaving properly!
