HOW CAN I INSTALL CD(UBUNTU 9.10) TO 8GB USB??

My name is eric Yoon.
Please someone help my problem. Until now, i didn't solve the problem.

Let me explain what happened...

FIRST, I order the ubuntu CD from company.....
and i got it...i have it right now..

Second, i have my 8 GB USB..
it is normal usb

Third..I put CD and connect the 8GB USB and reboot the computer..
first boot is cd..

forth, when i see the screen (ubuntu 9.10), i go to administrator and click the ubuntu GPARTED

fifth, i divdied (8 GB) TO FAT32(3.5 GB) AND EXT3 (4.5)..

SIXTH, i did a "MAKE USB STARTUP DISK" (ADMINSTRATOR AND CLICK USB STARTUP DISK)

FINAL...and success to install the usb start up disk

but

when i put out cd and reboot and first boot is usb..

and i can't do it..because it said that

System file not found
rescue grub>

honetly, i have no idea how to install ubuntu 8GB..
I KNOW and i installed before in 2GB...It was success.. i can do it
but 8GB..I CAN'T..

SO.... TELL ME PLEASE..

HOW CAN I INSTALL CD TO USB DRIVER?
I NEED A HELP..

You don't really need to use gparted to partition the disk, you can just use:

gksudo usb-creator-gtk

Select the device in the list and click make disk. You can verify which device it is with:

sudo fdisk -l

Or use the system--> administration--> Make USB bootable program?

IF I PUT

gksudo usb-creator-gtk

sudo fdisk -l

I CAN INSTALL AND BOOT THE USB? YOU MEAN?

no, use fdisk first so that you know which device you need to work with.

the usb creator will make the usb for you, there no need to partition first really.

OK... I COULD'T understand what you mean.

are you saying that i have to use fdisk to find my device? (i know my device)
and dvide the partition to fat32 and ext3?

and install?

Dude. KILL THE CAPS. ITS HARDER TO READ AND ACHIEVES NOTHING

i recommend you install unetbootin and try it that way, may help

sorry about caps..
anyway.. i also tried to do the unetbootin...
but it failed..i don't know what do i have to do...
