I want to know if caono's pixma mx340 is compatible to ubuntu

I have recently bought a canon pixma mx340 printer and I need to know if it will work with ubuntu?

Really the only way to know with absolute certainty is to Google/try it out on the system...sorry if that's not the answer you're seeking.

The following printer drivers for your printer should work in the 32-bit version of Ubuntu 9.10:

MARK, I have found that many of canon printers are compatible but the one that I have purchased is not. The pixam mx 340 and mx 350 are not and can not be used with ubuntu 9.10 or 10.04. Thank you for all the time that you have put in to this problem and now we both know the answer.

Jeffrey, I believe the printer is compatible since the users in this thread have it working under Ubuntu 10.04:

Most likely I'll be purchasing one of these soon so I'll reply back on here if it does/doesn't work as per the thread.
