Do you know how to install fglrx to use graphic functionalities ?

Asked by fabitencourt

My video card is a Radeon 9250 256 MB memory. I'd like to use graphical functionalities. I've visited Ati's site but they've posted the last driver in 2006 and I'm afraid it will not work properly and my machine is ok for the things I do normally and I don't want to reinstall everything because I don't have video anymore. Just in text lines I'm completely dummy, so in that case I'd have to start all over.

I'll try this. That menu is completely empty so I must install my driver first to see if it will appear there. To make any action that menu must show something to setup.

I think I made a mess. I'd better not touch it anymore...

It was a complete mess. In fact if your update software ask you to upgrade from karmic to Lucid, if you have the same problem then me, I suggest you to start all over from a new CD/DVD. When I did it my graphic card problem were completely solved and now everything is great.

In reality I must thank zvacet but his answer didn't solved my problem. I'm saying that to avoid someone else to do things that doesn't solve problems. I thank zvacet for trying to help, that's all.
