Graphics card for linux

Asked by 2canchu

Please Guru's please recommend a good video card for Linux. I have a nvidia gforce 9500 gt 1gb, but get a lines when watching videos. Yes I have the drivers installed. It's my own build. Duo-core 3.14, 4g memory. Could be better, but not bad. I just think graphics could be better(It is better w/ that other operating system) but I'm a devoted Linux user. I think I need a different graphics card. Any recommendations?

Oh and by the way. I'm so glad ubuntu10.4 gets a stable version of K3B. I had so many problems, and coasters with 9.10 w/alpha K3B. I made many complaints with that one but never got a straight answer for that. I've been using K3B from the beginning and never had any problems until 9.10. It rivals any burner suite out there. Thank You
