Need help- Computer Turning off

My computer turns off after a few commands via terminal. This is how Far I get

'sudo airmon-ng start wlan0'

then

'sudo airodump-ng mon0'

Once I enter that last command, my computer screen goes instantly black, but does not turn off. No buttons I push do anything. I have to power it off by the manual button. And Ideas on what is happening? Or is there a command I can see to look up what happened once I entered that in? Thanks for your help in advance!

right click on a panel and add a shutdown button. or are you using cli only? : sudo shutdown -h now

or sudo poweroff
