eMusic Download Manager - How to install?

Hello,

I just installed Ubuntu 10.04. I know next to nothing about Linux. I have been trying to download the eMusic download manager for linux but I cannot get it to work. It is a tar file and not available through the Ubuntu Software Center. Any ideas? I am not computer literate so if you use a bunch of jargon, I will probably ask more questions - so dumb it down if you can.

a tar gz? could you give us a download linkage? normally you "unpack" a tar gz in your home. After unpacking you mostly launch a program , is there a readme file in the unpacked maetrial?
