NetworkManager applet in indicator applet?

Now that 10.04 is released, I wonder if I still need to have nm-applet in the notification area or if there should be a network icon in the indicator applet (just like bluetooth, battery, volume, screen an the letter envelope). Or is the notification area nm-applet still "the way to go" in lucid?

yes nm-applet is still standard. Its not required really once you get connected etc (afak) and is simply needed for config, the network manager daemon stillruns and configures stuff.
