can't connect internet

has anybody reported any problems connecting to the internet when upgrading to 10.04? i was running 8 earlier and was having no issues. i upgraded by doing a complete wipe and reinstall from a disc, and i'm connected to my wireless network, but firefox won't load any pages. am i missing a setting somewhere? thanks
